This blogsite has been designed by Marsha to help writers hone their craft and to enlighten “English” readers about the lifestyles of the Amish and Mennonite folk in Snyder County, central PA.
Marsha is the best-selling author of The Keystone Stables Series from Harper Collins Christian Publishing (formerly Zondervan). The books, over 250,000 in print, gently address such topics as juvenile delinquency, foster care, and the death of a close friend, targeting youth from the ages of 10 to 14. Besides the eight Keystone Stables books, she also has three other “horsie” books for kids, two other three-book series, a ladies’ Bible study guide about prayer, and a homeschoolers’ helps book.
Marsha has a master’s degree in education and speaks at writers’ conferences and children’s and ladies’ events. She has 45+ years of experience with students of all ages, has been a foster parent, and she has eight years’ experience with conduct disordered youth. For the past 25 years, Marsha has been a homeschool consultant and certified evaluator in PA and has worked extensively with homeschooling families. She has a great love of and experience with horses and lives in Snyder County, which is heavily populated by Amish and Mennonite folk.
